Diane Gherson is senior vice president of human resources at IBM, responsible for the 400,000 employee company’s quality of leadership and talent, workforce strategies, and HR operations worldwide. Prior to this role she served as IBM’s vice president of talent, leading the company’s leadership development and succession planning, learning, career development, workforce management, global mobility programs, and recruitment functions worldwide. During her tenure in this role, IBM was named No.1 in Fortune’s “Global Top Company for Leaders” study — the first company to earn this recognition two consecutive times. She also was awarded a U.S. patent in the field of predictive analytics.
